What is Clean Advertising?
Clean Advertising uses a stencil placed onto a dirty pavement. The stencil is cleaned over with a specialist commercial cleaning machine. When the stencil is removed, the bright and sharp contrast between clean and dirty is left behind on the pavement.

Who uses Reverse Graffiti or Clean Advertising?
Reverse Graffiti or Clean Advertising would benefit any organisation looking to communicate a message in public spaces. Whether you are a brand owner, a PR, Advertising or Marketing Agency working on behalf of a client, small business or a public sector body with a message to pass on to the public, we can help you all with this highly effective Outdoor Advertising media.
Can you help us create the artwork for the Clean Graffiti?
We can advise you on what works most effectively for Clean Advertising campaigns. From advert size to fonts and artwork. We can also add all the bridging that needs to be added for a Street Advertising stencil. All we need from you is a black and white jpeg or pdf.
What is the lead time on Clean Advertising campaigns? From the paying of the deposit to secure the campaign dates, we normally need about ten working days to produce and deliver the campaign. As with all outdoor advertising, give us as much notice as you can to produce the most effective campaign although in cases of tactical emergencies we have turned around a Street Advertising Campaign in as little as two days.
Do we need Council permission to carry out a Reverse Graffiti campaign?
Most councils don't have a process in place for Clean Advertising as it doesn't fall under the rules of Street Cleaning or Traditional Street Advertising. Clean Advertising is a type of guerrilla marketing, so the adverts are placed without Council permission. The technique is environmentally friendly, non-invasive and fades over time with footfall but if you are are particularly concerned about getting council permission then by all means seek advice but after four years of placing thousands of adverts, our experience of Council's being concerned with the approach is negligible.
How long do Reverse Graffiti adverts last for?Typically between 1-3 weeks is the average (Anyone telling you longer is wrong, adverts do not last one to five months) However it does depend on advert placement, we can work with you to make the advert last longer or shorter depending on your campaign objectives. Footfall is the biggest factor involved in how long an advert lasts. The more dirt you add back to a clean area the quicker it fades.
What format do you require the Clean Advertising artwork in?
Black and white pdf or jpeg
How big are Clean Advert stencils? The standard size for the Reverse Graffiti stencils are 800mm by 800mm (80cm square) This size works best as it fits in within one average paving slab in the UK.
If the Council contacted us, what should we do?
Explain to them that the adverts are placed only with water and cleaning. If they insist on the adverts being removed we can do that for you at a discounted price
Do we get to keep the Clean Graffiti Stencil afterwards? We keep all of our client's stencils for six months in case a campaign needs to be repeated
How much does a Clean Advertising campaign cost?
Please contact us for a rate card
What are your payment terms? We require 50% of the fee payable upfront as a deposit and the remainder is payable immediately upon completion of the Street Advertising campaign
Which areas in the UK do you cover?
We cover the whole of the UK and a lot of mainland Europe.
How do we choose locations for the adverts? We can assist you in advert location choice depending on the campaign objectives, you may have some specific locations in mind or may leave it to us to choose high footfall locations that match your target audience. No other Clean Advertising company has as much experience throughout the UK as we do in finding and placing Clean Adverts.
Why are you different to other Clean Advertising companies?
Besides being the first in the UK and the most experienced provider of Clean Advertising or Reverse Graffiti in the world, we also have several positive attributes:
What makes Clean Advertising work so well is the adverts stand out bright and clean on the streets and catch people's eyes as they walk past. Therefore, you want the brightest, sharpest contrasting adverts. Other Clean Advertising companies use petrol or electric Karcher type petrol washers to clean the adverts. We use £60,000 hot water machines imported in from Germany. Our equipment is the best in the industry and we create the sharpest, cleanest street adverts. The other advantage of using Street Advertising Services is our operatives have been delivering Clean Adverts since 2006. We are the most experienced company in our industry, we know the best locations in the UK for placing effective adverts. That's why several other companies offering this type of media have used ourselves to deliver their campaigns.
